7:15 PM – All Bodies Dance - Carnegie Project (Other Animal)
Other Animal is a culmination of the creative work with All Bodies Carnegie participants over the last 2 years, and especially over the recent summer session. Our practices have included presencing with, responding to and witnessing one another as acts of care. We celebrate our interconnected imaginations, our agency in self-expression, and dancing as a way of being together in community.

PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY
ON DISPLAY GLOBAL
Sunday December 3, 2023
4:00 to 5:00 pm PT
(in person and online)
You are invited to take part in ON DISPLAY GLOBAL (ODG), a performance taking place both in person and online on Sunday, December 3 in honour of United Nations’ International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
WHAT IS ON DISPLAY GLOBAL?
ODG is an annual, worldwide initiative led by New York based Heidi Latsky Dance . It is an in-person and virtual event lasting 24 hours and streamed live on Zoom. Part meditation and part art exhibition, participants move almost imperceptibly slowly for the entire performance, (while also taking care of themselves of course as we do in ABDP!) There are no grand gestures or big movements. The performance invites dancers of all ages, sizes, and embodiments to be “on display” as “sculptures”. The piece is a “commentary on the body as spectacle and society's obsession with body image.”
