Board Member

fanny, a Black-Queer-Jewish-Disabled human, is a recovering people pleaser & over achiever. a late bloomer, a dreamer & community tender, fanny took nearly a decade worth of experiences as a social worker & doula and headed west to step into the gnawing ache of what it means to live your life as poetry. fanny’s art explores themes of reclamation of self & land, grief as a guide, pain as a portal to the divine and the joy of unbecoming. fanny facilitates poetry workshops in schools, community centres & with corporate clients. fanny won the Harold Green Theatre monologue competition, holds an AIRS residency, produces large-scale festivals/ fundraisers and curates intentional, inspiring, intimate gatherings centered around story sharing & wit(h)nessing. they hold a seat on the Curtain Razors and All Bodies Dance Project advisory boards. in 2023 they self published their first book of poetry & prose. they are navigating life with their co-creator, Que, their four-legged sonshine, Sully and their loving chosen family members. fanny is in deep reverence to Treaty 4 Territory, the lands that raised her and to the Unceded Coast Salish Territories, the lands that have received her.
