My name is Vanessa Mendoza. I was born in Vancouver, BC. I was born with a disability called Spina bifida. I have spent my whole life in a wheelchair. I got involved with All Bodies Dance Project in 2020 through a friend who introduced me to dance. I didn't think I could dance but being involved in all bodies dance has given me so much freedom and confidence. Previously, I have worked for a seniors home in downtown Vancouver doing one-one visits with residents who need a little companionship. Today I work for Community Living British Columbia helping high school students that are just transitioning from high school wanting to know what the next steps are after school. Â
